HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO PLAY?
The answer is simple, there is no additional cost to play on the team. All games, practices, and jerseys are funded by the school's student government. Players only have to supply their own equipment. All games are free for fans.
WHAT'S THE TIME COMMITMENT FOR THE TEAM?
The team practices regularly, two times a week, while also having one game on Saturday. The season typically runs from late September to the end of February. Our home rink is only a five minute drive from campus. One of the biggest concerns is academics, but we insure that our players' schoolwork comes first.
HOW MANY PLAYERS ARE ON THE TEAM ROSTER AND THE RECOMMENDED SKILL LEVEL?
Every year the roster size will fluctuate, but in a typical season the roster normally consists of 20 players. Most of the players on the team have played at the AAA and AA level.
WHAT LEAGUE DO WE COMPETE IN?
The Upstate New York Club Hockey League is an ice hockey league comprising smaller colleges and universities in Upstate New York. The league is based in New York state and has grown to Pennsylvania with multiple divisions. Our team competes against Erie based teams, which helps limit travel.
